What is the Price of a Second-Hand Desktop Computer?

Used desktops vary in price based on a range of factors. However, a second-hand desktop for basic use should be affordably priced.

If you work or study from home, a small form factor desktop computer can serve you pretty well

Desktops are generally cheaper than laptops, even though they serve the same purpose. The only major difference is portability, which should not be a problem if you’re stationed in the office or at home.

Second-hand desktops can be incredibly affordable, depending on where you source them. We have some of the best deals for used desktop computers at PCs for People.

You can get a fully functional, ready-to-use desktop computer for as low as $30 in-store. And most refurbished desktop computers retail at $150 and below online.

To navigate through the prices by order in the desktop category, use the “Sort By” menu at the top of the list to select “Highest Price” or “Lowest Price.”

Our primary concern is to achieve digital equity rather than making a profit. We are interested in providing low-income communities access to low-cost, quality computers and the internet.

Since all our desktops use Intel Core processors, you can comfortably edit documents and spreadsheets for school or work, take on video calls, and browse the internet without encountering performance issues.

What to Look for When Buying a Pre-Owned Desktop

How you plan to use your desktop should determine the choice of processor and memory.

When buying a used computer from a vendor, it is essential to do your due diligence.

You’ll want to be sure that your desktop PC’s basic accessories (the keyboard, mouse, and power cord) are intact, all ports are working, and the whole unit is in good condition and safe to use.

Fortunately, at PCs for People, the testing and quality control phase of refurbishing takes care of most of the essential things to watch out for when buying a used desktop. In other words, we test all components and system functions before selling the units to our customers.
