PCs for People is Coming to Philadelphia, PA!

The expansion is supported by a grant from the City of Philadelphia Digital Literacy Alliance.

While a 2021 survey showed improvements in digital access among Philadelphia residents, 16% of households still lack a high-speed home internet connection and 25% still lack a working home computer or large screen device. Among low-income residents, 37% have neither a computer or tablet.

PCs for People is proud to announce the expansion to Philadelphia to join other digital inclusion organizations in supporting residents. A physical space has yet to be determined, but the new space will host a storefront for eligible customers, office space for staff, and an intake, data destruction, and refurbishing center for PCs for People’s zero-landfill certified e-recycling services.

Our Philadelphia Partners:

Your used devices can power someone's future.

When you recycle your electronics with PCs for People, you’ll join thousands of other organizations across the country who put their retired technology to good use. Your devices will be assessed and then recycled (zero-landfill) or refurbished and provided to families, individuals, or nonprofits in need.
