The free resources and computer classes provided here can help you become more comfortable using a computer and the internet, help you build the applied digital skills needed to participate in today’s digital economy, or help you start or advance your education in computer careers.

Free Digital Skills Classes + Workshops

We offer free digital skills training through classes and workshops to eligible customers in our St. Paul and Denver locations, as well as virtually across the country. Classes are offered one-on-one, in-person or online. Online classes take place on Zoom or GoogleMeet. After completing a class, you may be eligible to receive a professional certificate through Northstar Digital Literacy.

General Classes Offered

  • Essential Computer Skills – Computer Basics, Windows 10, Mac OS, Internet Basics, Using Email (St. Paul, Virtual)
  • Essential Software Skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (St. Paul, Virtual)
  • Using Technology to Accomplish Tasks – Zoom, Typing, Internet Safety (St. Paul, Virtual)

KidsTek a Program of PCs for People

Tech skills are vital for success in today’s world and KidsTek wants all students to be empowered and prepared for the future of their choice. KidsTek’s mission is to prepare students for academic, career and personal success by increasing tech literacy at Colorado’s highest-needs K-12 schools. It begins with teaching elementary students that technology is fun through projects incorporating basic computer skills.
