During the Edison Awards in April, fifty high-quality refurbished laptops have been provided to students at Dunbar High School, a Title I school in Fort Myers, FL. The computers, sponsored by the Edison Awards, traveled 1,380 miles from PCs for People Kansas City to Fort Myers on the Black & Veatch Digital Equity Bus.
These computers will be used by Dunbar High School students in the STEM program. This partnership is a prime example of how community organizations, businesses, thought leaders, and educational institutions can come together to support digital inclusion in our communities. We are grateful for the dedication of all parties involved to get high-quality technology into the hands of students who need them.
