As part of our ongoing commitment to closing the digital divide, PCs for People Ohio is proud to partner once again with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) for the 2025 CMSD Grad Laptop Program.
This local initiative ensures that every eligible 2025 CMSD high school graduate has access to a free Category Better ($100 value) laptop, helping them confidently step into their next chapter, whether it’s college, career, or vocational training.

Distribution Dates:
Monday, June 2 – Friday, August 22, 2025
What Students Need to Bring:
- Their original voucher/certificate (no copies or photos accepted)
- A valid ID (student ID is acceptable)
- The student must be present — parents or guardians cannot pick up on their behalf (unless pre-approved in special cases).
On-site, PCs for People staff will:
- Assist students in setting up their PCs for the People account
- Log each graduate in the CMSD distribution tracker
- Record device distribution in our CRM system
Special Circumstances:
For students who are unable to come in person due to disability or other approved reasons (e.g., non-verbal, autistic), a parent may be permitted to pick up the laptop. Approval from CIM is required. Please email ssimmons@pcsforpeople.org with the student’s name, parent’s name, and a phone number before visiting the store.
