Saint Paul - Customer Service Representative (Full-Time and Part-Time Openings Available)

This position provides customer service, administrative and clerical support for our St. Paul office. Duties include answering phone calls, computer distribution, receiving donations, greeting customers and clients, gathering and entering data, verifying client eligibility, maintaining calendars, file management, receiving and responding to voice messages, word processing, drafting emails, helping with technical support and assisting with other tasks as needed.

Saint Paul - Customer Service Shift Lead

The core responsibilities of the position is to keep the front desks running smoothly during assigned shift. This includes, but is not limited to, answering phone calls, computer distribution, receiving donations, greeting customers and clients, gathering and entering data, verifying client eligibility, maintaining calendars, file management, receiving and responding to voice messages, word processing, drafting emails, helping with technical support and assisting with other tasks as needed, supervision of customer service staff, balance daily cash transactions, and open and close duties. The Shift Lead also ensures the excellence in customer service up front and provides support and de-escalation to the customer service staff as needed. The Shift Lead will report directly to the Customer Service Manager.

Denver - Customer Service Representative - Spanish speaker

This position provides customer service, administrative and clerical support for our Denver office. Duties include answering phone calls, computer distribution, receiving donations, greeting customers and clients, gathering and entering data, verifying client eligibility, maintaining calendars, file management, receiving and responding to voice messages, word processing, drafting emails, helping with technical support, helping with shipping, and assisting with other tasks as needed.

Saint Paul - Warehouse Assistant and Driver

This full-time position is responsible for collecting and processing donated computer equipment It is expected that time will be split between:

- Driving box truck and collecting of computer equipment from business clients
- Organizing and moving inventory
- NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) compliance procedures

Volunteer

A 100% volunteer staff consisting of high school students, college interns and community citizens are responsible for refurbishing, repairing and organizing inventory. Volunteers are given a chance to give back to the community while learning from their peers in a nontraditional setting. Many volunteers start with a basic understanding of technology but through tutorials and group interactions are quickly able to expand their skill-set in not only the technical field but also in communication and public service by interacting with a diverse client base.

Opportunities

  • Refurbish and repair computers - This is a great way to learn about computers. No prior experience is required; however, it would be helpful.
  • PR and Marketing - If you have experienced in these areas you could help us create better brand awareness.
  • Organizing inventory - Can you identify the differences between a PCI and AGP video card? If you can, help us organize!
  • CRM development - We are currently using our own home-brewed customer relationship management software, it could always be better.
  • PBX Phone (Asterisk) development and integration - Do you have experience integrating Asterisk into back-end systems? If so, we would LOVE some help.
  • Application development - We need help developing software that will run on computers being distributed by PCs for People.
  • Donation drives - Got a strong back? We can always use help at collection events unloading equipment.
