Infectious Disease Preparation and Response Plan

PCs for People continues to monitor the global outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVIC-19) with health and wellness of our employees, customers, and volunteers as our top priority. Our leadership in partnership with management and front line staff are prepared to make socially responsible decisions as we do our part in slowing the spread of infectious disease. PCs for People will diligently follow the governmental guidelines, particularly those defined by the Minnesota Department of Health, Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, and Ohio Department of Health.

PCs for People has a team closely monitoring the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. As part of our preparations, leadership is drawing on the expertise and recommendations of medical and public health experts, locally and nationally.

With increase in demand we are likely to experience heavy phone and email communication. Please be patient as wait times will increase.

PCs for People’s Infectious Disease Preparation and Response Plan

Our Preparation and Response Plan is in constant change based on the current situation. We believe that this is a community effort and we are sharing important elements of our plan to minimize the risk to our employees, customers, and volunteers.

Proactive Measures Currently Underway

  1. Leadership is monitoring the situation by the hour and meets regularly to review information and updates in order to make timely decisions.
  2. Increased sanitization of all work areas. In addition to normal best practices, we are now requiring hand washing prior to entry into work areas, required rotating cleaning breaks, and increased sanitizing stations for visiting customers.
  3. Monitoring health conditions of employees and volunteers. PCs for People requires anyone that is sick to stay home. We encourage all individuals that show symptoms to immediately contact their doctor.
  4. Daily review of educational materials and Infectious Disease Preparation and Response Plan.
  5. Culture of Respect. With heightened awareness we must work together as a community to avoid acting with discrimination.

Response Plan
PCs for People will communicate any changes to employees, customers, and volunteers via normal communication channels.

  1. PCs for People will follow all recommendations and directions of the CDC and Minnesota Department of Health. Specifically guidelines around keeping the workplace and commercial establishments safe
  2. PCs for People is also prepared to adjust our operations if we have a localized situation such as a confirmed case of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in one of employees or volunteers. In the event this occurs, we will work directly with public health experts and follow all recommended actions.
  3. In the event of a closure to the public, we have plans in place to continue the ability to support the community by making product and support available via our e-commerce site, phone support, and email support.

Ongoing Communications
PCs for People is committed to open and consistent communication. We will continue to update our employees, customers, and volunteers as the situation evolves.

The website will be updated at  Monday - Friday at 4:00pm with any new information.
