PCs for People is a ConnectHome USA stakeholder organization that supports more than 75 housing authorities across the country seeking to increase their residents access to technology devices, high-speed internet, and training.  We have developed a menu of discounted pricing to affordable housing organizations that are seeking to purchase a minimum of 20 laptops or 50 desktops with the Windows 10 operating system and 1-year hardware warranty.

Through our outreach with ConnectHome USA, we began bulk rate shipping more than 500 desktops and laptops to 12 housing authorities across the U.S. to support both in-home technology access and for the development of computer labs.  We look forward to playing a larger role for housing authority digital inclusion plans across the country in the future.

Additionally, PCs for People Denver’s office has teamed up with Denver Housing Authority to co-host a workshop event on October 24 for banks and other organizations to gain a better understanding of how Community Reinvestment Act investments can help close the digital divide. The event is titled “Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Workshop: Closing the Digital Divide through CRA Investments” and will include featured speaker Jordana Barton, Senior Advisor with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
