October Employee Highlight
Meet John Sharer!
John Sharer was born in Germany in an armed forces base and moved to the US at the age of 18. John moved to Colorado from Wisconsin and is an avid Packers, Brewers and Bucks fan. Prior PCs for People, John managed his own business as a Drone filming and video producer. He also worked for a software company training dealership employees across the country in the use of this software. At 6 foot, 6 inches, John is the tallest employee in PCs for People’s history.
John Sharer was promoted from a customer service position to the newly-created Operations Coordinator in May, 2019, at PCs for People’s Denver location. “The reason for creating the position of Operations Coordinator, and bringing John into the role, was to keep up with our continuing growth,” says Denver Branch PCs for People’s Director of Operations, Alejandro Dopico. “We feel like John has the experience and translatable skills to help us as we take things to the next level,” continues Dopico.
Having John in the Operations Department has already proven its value. The warehouse has now added a much-needed third day of pickups to the weekly schedule. John’s continuing acumen in processes and procedures ensures the company retains its certifications and measures. Lastly, John’s presence in the warehouse means the Denver Branch keeps up with the notable overall growth we’ve experienced in the past year – ultimately keeping us in line with our mission of Digital Inclusion.
