We are all moved and fully operating our new 31,000 warehouse in St. Paul MN!  We recently had an open house of our new (to us) 31,000 square foot facility.  We were able to give tours to over 100 members of the community, donors, customers, volunteers, family, and friends.  Our amazing staff was able to hang out and talk about some of the great things they do at their workstation, and how this new facility will allow us to provide a greater service to our community.  Some of the fun facts of the work that goes on here are:
  • We’ll have over 22,000 hours this year of workforce development for folks with a barrier to employment.
  • Every day, nearly 100 computers are refurbished in our tech space.
  • New dedicated volunteer space supports groups of up to 40 to do volunteer events.  In fact, in the last 2 months we have supported over 1,400 volunteer hours!
  • We will recycle responsibly over 1 Million pounds of E-waste this year.  How can we do that?
    • Over 60 different sorting categories for finished product, recycling, monitors, and to be tested equipment;
    • 110 feet of conveyor lines;
    • 3,000 square feet for the Secured Cage for data;
    • 292 linear feet of random electronic and A/V equipment to be tested and sold by our surplus sales team;
    • 35 cameras cover our warehouse inside and out;
    • Data Sanitization Vault has 8 cameras, 7 servers, and wipes or destroys about 525,000,000 bytes of data every week.
