Have we mentioned we love Volunteers?  PCs for People has launched our individual and group volunteer program.  There are so many ways that we impact the community.  Likewise, the community provides so much support for us.
Individual Volunteer Opportunities:  We have a fun team and love when volunteers come by to take on tasks doing anything from painting, data entry, tech support, refurbishing computers, and more!
Meet Barb and Dan:  Barb worked in fundraising at nonprofits for the last 16 years and has been a small business owner and writer.  Barb’s husband Dan was chiropractor and respiratory therapist, retiring after 21 years at Children’s Hospital.  When they are not volunteering at PCs for People, they fill their time as newbie snowbirds traveling in a conversion van to Florida, visiting friends and relatives, traveling with grandkids, and heading north for fresh air.
Why Do We Volunteer at PCs for People?
“We started by donating equipment over the past couple years.  Shortly after I started volunteering I recruited my husband Dan to often come with me and we like working together. The schedule is flexible. On a day’s notice, we can come in and stay for as long as we like. There’s always plenty to do!
Since volunteering, I’m even more impressed with the staff and the mission. The customer service and training staff work with customers to ensure they are digitally connected – they are so very patient and kind. The warehouse staff has been welcoming and helpful as we learn our tasks. It’s fun to be around people who are committed to their work and who enjoy being together.”   – Barb
